Welcome!
You may wonder at the title of my blog. And originally it was a title that was very insignificant (see first post). I have often had the desire to change my blog's name or even to start a new one as the address is also soo do or pseudo. But this last year at bible school I had an assignment on generosity based on two chapters from the Bible (Leviticus 25 and Deuteronomy 15) that changed my perspective a bit. In Deuteronomy God tells the Israelites "...you shall not harden your hearts, nor close your hand from your brother, but you shall freely open your hand to him and generously lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he lacks." (Deut. 15:7-8).
Soo do means open hand in Korean, or at least that is what I have been told in my karate classes, and after remembering this and working through my generosity assignment, I wondered to myself: Am I a soo do (open hand) christian or a psuedo christian? This question continues to challenge me. I often keep my time, money, and encouragements to myself and don't give generously. But God calls us to give all we have, for our security lies not in our weatlh, or health, or time, or place, but ultimately in Him.
This blog is for me to share my thoughts and my days, things I love and places I go, my struggles and His victories, and ultimately His work in and through me will hopefully make me a soo do christian.

Sea Glass
In the last few months I've picked up the habit of collecting Sea Glass. My friend and house-mate, Jackie, showed me where to look and how to find it. It's quite exciting to find these little treasures. Here is my collection...
This is one of the most unusually shaped pieces I've found
This is one of the newest pieces, the edges are still sharp and the piece i large for how thin the glass is, I pretty sure it's from a Jones bottle.
These next two pieces are older, the edges are worn and the sides are soft from the waves wearing the shine away
And this is the second, amazingly it is also the largest piece in my collection. I spotted it from about four feet away.
